Equipment Manager-
The DYHA is seeking an individual to join the Board in the role of Equipment Manager. The Equipment Manager is responsible for oversight of DYHA’s equipment budget, distribution/storage/collection of equipment and apparel to House and Travel teams and managing our jersey number online auction. The equipment manager will work with the Board and local vendors to ensure the DYHA has the proper amount and quality of equipment to provide to its players and will be in charge of maintaining and managing the equipment depot located at Town Hall. In addition, the equipment manager will be responsible for new apparel initiatives for the broader DYHA community.
Strong candidates for this role will be organized, have strong planning, communication and scheduling skills and be interested in growing the DYHA brand. Time requirements are fairly flexible with various projects requiring attention throughout the year. Interested candidate should be available to meet once per month as a member of the Board and be interested in contributing to the overall success of the DYHA organization.
Scheduler-
DYHA is seeking an individual for the role of assistant scheduler. This individual will transition into the role of scheduler and pending a board vote will join the DYHA board. This individual will:
-Create a weekly practice and game schedule for DYHA and Ice Cat teams.
-Work with house and travel directors to provide ice to teams to promote player development and games.
-Obtain required ice for DYHA and Ice Cat programs for rink partners.
-Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is necessary. Programming knowledge is helpful but not required.
Ice Cats Co-Director; ICGC Representative-
DYHA is seeking an individual to join the board in the role of Ice Cats Governing Council that will help lead the strategic direction of the CT Ice Cats Travel Program. The ICGC role will work with another ICGC member to hire coaches, oversee tryouts, set annual fiscal budget, set annual ice budget, and work to optimize the number of teams relative to resource and program constraints and goals.
The position will require an individual who possesses strong management, organizational and communication skills as well as someone who is confident and comfortable having direct communications with parents and coaches. During a typical year, the time commitment will be more heavily weighted to the first 6 months.
The ICGC role is a Board level position with regularly scheduled meetings held one evening per month with special meetings held sporadically.

DYHA is currently seeking a Registrar. The DYHA Registrar will:
-Ensure all returning and new players are appropriately registered
-participate in the registration and in person elements of travel tryouts and house evaluations
-ensure all players, coaches and volunteers are in compliance with USA Hockey registration requirements.
