COVID-19 Protocol

 

Guidelines for all players and families

 

These guidelines are meant to help maintain as safe an environment as possible during sessions.  Players and parents/guardians must review and adhere to guidelines in this protocol.  These guidelines may be updated at any time.  Anyone violating these guidelines will be asked to leave the rink.

 

General Protocols:

 

  • Any player or parent/guardian who has either tested positive for or has been exposed to anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 14 days must not come
  • Anyone who is exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19, including but not limited to a cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, loss of taste or smell, headache, fever, chills, muscle or body aches and/or sore throat must not come to the rink. See CDC guidelines for COVID-19 symptoms.
  • Take your player’s temperature before each session and do not attend if it is 100o F or higher
  • If your player is subject to a quarantine requirement, they may not attend
  • Any player showing signs of illness will be asked to leave
  • Notify the relevant travel or house directors if your player or player’s household member has tested positive for COVID-19

 

  • Masks or face coverings must be worn by all players and parents/guardians while in the building
  • Players may remove masks to put their helmets on prior to taking the ice, but must put them back on after removing their helmet  
  • Players should not enter the arena until 20 minutes prior to their scheduled ice time
  • Players must come to the arena fully dressed (until further notice).  They may put on skates, helmets and gloves in locker rooms (spread out per rink guidelines) or in any area where distance can be maintained.
  • Players may undress after games and practices but are requested to leave the arena promptly after leaving the ice - no social activities are to take place inside the arena
  • No sharing of equipment
  • Each player will need to bring a water bottle labeled with their name
  • Only one parent/guardian per child allowed in the rink (ex. for games, practices), but they must wear a mask and maintain social distancing 
  • Maintain clean equipment

 

On Ice Protocols:

  • No handshakes
  • Players should socially distance on the benches where possible
  • Coaches will remove any player immediately if they are showing any signs of illness or not following the guidelines
