DYHA Coed Hockey Director-NOW HIRING!




The Hockey Director will work closely with the DYHA Board to establish and execute a comprehensive, developmental hockey program with an emphasis on player development and an overarching goal of providing a quality hockey experience for DYHA players and families.

The Hockey Director will oversee the following (click below for the full job description):

  • Player Development: Develop and deliver an overall training curriculum for all hockey levels, including practices, skill clinics, off-ice training, etc., that promotes player skill development and advancement, and drives further interest in playing for DYHA.


  • Coaching: Select for board approval and manage a coaching staff that meets the standards of DYHA and will provide maximum benefit to yourself, players, and the organization and be a resource to coaches regarding practice plans by providing ideas, drills, and execution of the skill progression for each level based on the established seasonal goals and objectives.


  • Communication: Attend monthly Board meetings to report on hockey program performance and provide feedback to parents, players, and coaches as needed.


Key Experiences and Attributes (Qualifications):

Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are vital in this position in corresponding with the Board, coaching staff, players, and families. Previous experience managing, teaching, and developing hockey programs and coaching oversight.


Job Types:

  • Part-time (on average, 30 hours per week, fewer outside of hockey season). Contract position. Highly competitive pay commensurate with qualifications and experience, and consistent with industry standards.


License/Certification:

  • USA Hockey coaching certification (Required)
